Error Code: 6240 - The name supplied already exists: Another customer, vendor, or employee is already using this customer UTV source. Please use a different name.
This error typically occurs when there is a customer, vendor, or employee in your QuickBooks company file that shares the same name as the one linked to an order.
To resolve this error, follow these steps:
1). Log in to QuickBooks Online:
2). Click on the Sales menu at the left pane, then Customers.
3). On the Customers tab, choose the customer that you want to edit.
4). Go to the Customer Details tab, then select Edit in the upper left.
5). Enter the necessary changes, then click Save once done.
Download the Latest Data:
Open Webgility and download the latest customer data from QuickBooks. This ensures that Webgility has the most up-to-date information.
Steps:
To download the latest accounting data in Webgility Online, navigate to Sync settings> Products
On every tab you will see a RefrSesh Settings option. Clicking this option will allow you to download the latest data and settings from QuickBooks.
Under both the Product and Customer tabs there is a drop-down with options to Refresh the Latest Accounting Data and Download from Scratch.
Download from Scratch will redownload all products and customer information from scratch. This is recommended if the latest data is not reflected in Webgility even after clicking Refresh Latest Accounting Data.
Click Refresh Settings to start the data downloading process.
This can take several minutes if you have a lot of data in your QuickBooks.
Once it downloads the information, you will receive a notification that it is done.
Post the Order:
After downloading the data, try posting the order again in Webgility. The error should now be resolved.
