Step-by-Step Guide to Fix Error:
1). Create a Backup (Optional but Recommended):
Before rebuilding your company file, it’s always a good idea to create a backup of your file in case anything goes wrong during the rebuild process.
Go to File > Back Up > Create Backup.
Follow the prompts to save your backup to a secure location.
2). Open QuickBooks Desktop:
Launch QuickBooks Desktop and make sure your company file is open.
3). Go to the Rebuild Utility:
Click on File in the top menu.
Select Utilities, then choose Rebuild Data from the drop-down menu.
4). Review the Rebuild Results:
Once the rebuild process is complete, QuickBooks will notify you with a message indicating whether or not it has found any issues.
5). Close and Reopen QuickBooks:
Once the rebuild and verification process is complete, close QuickBooks and reopen it to check if everything is functioning properly.
