This error typically occurs when the connection between QuickBooks and Webgility is disrupted or if QuickBooks unexpectedly closes.

Steps to Resolve the Issue:

1. Run QuickBooks as Administrator:

Sometimes, running QuickBooks with Administrator privileges resolves unexpected errors. This ensures that QuickBooks has all the necessary permissions to perform tasks like posting payouts.

Steps to Run QuickBooks as Administrator:

  • Close All QuickBooks Instances: Before proceeding, make sure all instances of QuickBooks are closed. If QuickBooks is still running, the changes won’t take effect.

  • Right-click the Webgility Application: Locate the Webgility application on your computer, right-click on it, and select Properties from the dropdown menu.

  • Open Advanced Properties: In the Properties window, click on the Advanced button.

  • Enable "Run as Administrator": Check the box labeled "Run as Administrator" to give Webgility the required permissions to run QuickBooks properly.

  • Save and Close: After selecting "Run as Administrator," click OK to save the changes, then close the window.

  • Launch QuickBooks Again: Now that the necessary changes have been made, launch QuickBooks. Going forward, Webgility will automatically launch QuickBooks with Administrator rights.
