Duplicate Document Number Error in Webgility Online
This particular error message indicates that you're attempting to create a new transaction, such as an invoice or a sales receipt with a number that has already been used in QuickBooks. Each transaction into QuickBooks requires a unique transaction number to ensure proper organization and prevent data duplication.
We have two options to resolve the issue:
1). Log in to QuickBooks and search for the transaction number that Webgility is attempting to assign and modify the transaction number in QuickBooks. Once you have made the necessary changes, try posting the order again.
2). Change the transaction number setting in Webgility. Navigate to Settings> Accounting> Transactions> Who assigns the transaction numbers?, Select Webstore from the dropdown and save the settings.
Once done, you can now post the order to QuickBooks.
