Release notes for Webgility Online v8.57.0
We're excited to roll out major integrations and posting capabilities this release, closing some of the most-requested gaps in sales channel coverage and accounting reconciliation.
What's New?
TikTok Shop — Native Sales Channel Integration (Beta)Webgility Online now connects directly to TikTok Shop — no more routing orders through a Shopify or BigCommerce store as a bridge.
What's in scope:
- Direct OAuth connection via TikTok Seller Center authorization
- Order, refunds and product syncing
- Inventory sync (bidirectional)
- Price sync (bidirectional)
Why it's in beta: We're rolling this out to new sellers first to validate real customer data across order, refund, and product/inventory sync before wider availability. Within the scope above, the app is fully functional.
What's next: Payout/settlement download and posting to QuickBooks Online is planned as the next iteration, once we see strong adoption on this beta.
Walmart Payout Sync to QuickBooks Online
Walmart settlement payouts — deposits, fees, and adjustments — can now be posted to QuickBooks Online directly from Webgility Online. Post a payout on demand with a single click, or turn on automation and let Webgility post each payout as it becomes available. What's included:
- One-time setup per Walmart store: deposit account, fee/expense account, vendor, and transaction type (Expense or Bill — Journal Entry isn't available for Walmart)
- Manual posting: a progress bar tracks each step and displays the resulting QuickBooks Deposit ID; errors surface directly on the payout if something's misconfigured
- Optional automation: once manual posting is confirmed working, turn on automatic posting for future payouts
- Consolidated deposit: sales, refunds, and fee lines combine into a single QuickBooks Deposit that matches the payout total exactly — a Sales Receipt is only created when refunds exceed fees, otherwise fees absorb directly into the deposit
- Safe to re-run: posting an already-posted payout is skipped automatically, no duplicates
- Requires QuickBooks Online (not supported on QuickBooks Desktop or Xero)
Why it matters: Walmart sellers previously had no automated way to bring settlement payouts into QuickBooks Online— this brings Walmart to parity with the automated fee/deposit posting merchants already get for Amazon.
Amazon Settlement Deposit Posting
Webgility Online now lets you post the net Amazon settlement deposit itself as a Transfer transaction in QuickBooks Online — not just the fees. What's included:
- New Settlement Deposits screen, separate from the existing Settlement Reports screen used for fees
- One-time setup per Amazon store/marketplace: a transfer-from account (your clearing account, e.g. Undeposited Funds) and a transfer-to account (the bank account Amazon actually deposits into)
- Manual posting: select a pending deposit and post it to QuickBooks Online as a Transfer — amount matches the net settlement, dated to the deposit date, with the Settlement ID recorded in the memo for traceability
- IGNORE option to skip a deposit without posting it
- Optional automation: post settlement deposits automatically on your regular sync schedule
- Requires QuickBooks Online (not supported on QuickBooks Desktop)
Lightspeed POS (X-Series): B2B Payment Sync to QuickBooks Online
For merchants using Lightspeed POS (X-Series) with B2B/on-account orders, payments received against a previously-unpaid B2B invoice now sync automatically from Lightspeed to QuickBooks Online and mark the invoice as paid — closing the gap where only Shopify had this behavior, and removing the need to update each invoice by hand.
Improvements
-
Payouts (Shopify) now post using the actual payout date instead of defaulting to the current date.
-
The "Set Expense Account" dropdown in Shipping Fee settings (all channels) now includes COGS accounts.
