Error:

Post to QuickBooks failed due to the "item unit of measure" field has an invalid value. QuickBooks error message: the unit provided for the line item does not belong to the unit of measure set associated with the item

Cause of the issue:

This issue typically arises when posting orders to QuickBooks. This error indicates that a unit of measure assigned on the item is either missing in the Webgility Desktop database or doesn’t match the unit of measure in QuickBooks.

Steps to fix:

  • In Webgility Desktop, navigate to the Products in the menu options.

  • Then in the left hand side panel in the center, look for Additional Mapping, hover over the mouse and click on “Quantity/Weight”.

  • This will open another window, so ensure Use QuickBooks Unit of measure is selected.

  • Then search for the item that came in the order and check its Quantity in Pack mapping. Correct the mapping if needed and then click on “Map Products” to save.

  • Once done, try to post the order again.

If the problem persists, contact Webgility Support for further assistance.
