Troubleshooting Error Code 5020 : Permission denied error to access this sign in again or contact the administrator.

In this article, we outline the troubleshooting steps necessary to resolve Error 5020, which may occur while posting orders from Webgility Online in QuickBooks Desktop.

Error:

When posting new orders to Quickbooks Desktop, it's possible that certain orders may end up in the errors tab, as illustrated below:

Resolution steps:

  1. Open QuickBooks and log in using the administrator credentials in single-user mode.

  2. Click on the "Edit" menu.

  3. Select "Preferences" from the dropdown menu.

  4. Within the Preferences window, choose "Integrated Applications."

  5. Under Integrated Applications, click on "Company Preferences."

  6. Locate the "Unify Extension" option within Company Preferences.

  7. Uncheck the "Unify Extension" checkbox.

  8. Click on "Remove" to remove the Unify Extension.

  9. Confirm your changes by selecting "OK."

10. Now you will need to reconnect the Webgility Extension to QuickBooks, please refer to this help article link to reconnect the Webgility Extension β€œhere.”

Once QuickBooks is successfully connected, please post the orders again. If the issue persists, please contact our support team.
