How to handle the removed item available on the Shopify Order in Webgility Desktop

Overview:

In case of the Shopify sales channel, there are scenarios where you need to replace or remove an item from unfulfilled and unpaid orders. So Shopify allows you to make basic edits (like removing items or adjusting quantities) directly from the admin. Now there are chances where this adjustment data is not available in the Shopify payouts so for the reconciliation purpose you might need to skip this data from download in the orders in Webgility Desktop.

Note: This feature is available only for the Shopify sales channel.


Set up the configuration:

  • In Webgility Desktop, navigate to Connections in the menu options and then goto Sales Channel then click on Settings.

  • Then under Download Options, look for β€œDo not download removed item with order” and enable it by checking its box. Once done then click on Save and Continue at the bottom.

  • Now all the required new orders will skip the download of the removed item information in them. For the existing orders which has already downloaded the removed item information in Webgility Desktop, kindly re-download them to fix.
