Upgrade Walmart Connection in Webgility Desktop for OAuth 2.0 Compliance
Walmart is requiring all existing Walmart sales channel connections to migrate to the OAuth 2.0 authentication flow by September 30, 2026. To comply with this requirement and prevent interruptions, Webgility Desktop users must update Webgility Desktop to the latest version (at least 9.10.6) and re-authenticate their existing Walmart marketplace connection. If a Walmart connection is not migrated by the deadline, Walmart will stop allowing the connection to sync orders, products, and inventory. This article provides step-by-step instructions for upgrading an existing Walmart connection to OAuth 2.0 in Webgility Desktop and ensuring the connection continues syncing without interruption.
Note: Webgility Desktop should be on the latest version (at least v9.10.6) before upgrading this connection.
Step 1: Upgrade the Webgility Desktop app to the latest version on all the required machines.
- Before proceeding, it's important to ensure you're on the latest version of Webgility Desktop. Follow the steps outlined in this guide: How to Update Your Webgility Desktop Software to upgrade the application.

- Now you need to authorize the connection, so click on Authorize.

- After a minute of two you shall receive success message ‘Successfully connected’ so you can close that browser window.

- Also Webgility Desktop shall generate its own success message in the meantime ‘Successfully connected to Walmart’.

- So now click on Ok > Next > Update your Sales Channel information > and click on Save Sales Channel.

- Now you can continue with the order download from Walmart with the new OAuth 2.0 flow.
