This article helps Webgility Desktop users understand and configure the “Don’t post orders with zero amount to QuickBooks” option in Webgility Desktop. It explains how this feature prevents zero-amount orders from being posted to QuickBooks Desktop, reducing clutter in financial reports and minimizing manual cleanup. The guide also highlights important considerations, such as the potential to miss certain transactions like discounts, shipping fees, or inventory adjustments. Step-by-step instructions are provided to enable the setting, allowing users to make an informed decision based on their accounting needs.

Overview:

The option "Don't post orders with zero amount to QuickBooks" in Webgility Desktop is a setting that will allow you to prevent orders with zero amounts from being posted to your QuickBooks Desktop account.

This feature will have significant implications on your accounting process. When orders with zero amounts are posted to QuickBooks Desktop, they can clutter up financial reports and create unnecessary work for you, and you may have to manually delete them. By preventing these orders from being posted, you can save time and ensure that your financial reports are accurate and reflect only relevant data.

However, you should also be aware that enabling this option may cause you to miss certain transactions that they would like to track in QuickBooks Desktop, such as orders with zero amounts including discounts, shipping fees, or inventory reductions. Therefore, it is important for you to carefully consider the impact of this option on their specific accounting needs and make an informed decision based on your requirements.
