View Scheduler Logs

This article helps Webgility Desktop users understand how to view Scheduler Logs in order to monitor automated tasks and troubleshoot issues. The Scheduler automates key processes such as downloading orders, syncing inventory, and posting data to accounting software. The article explains how Webgility Desktop maintains detailed Scheduler Logs that record every activity in real time and daily, and it provides two simple methods for accessing these logs. By reviewing the Scheduler Logs, users can effectively track task activity and diagnose potential problems.

Why Check Scheduler Logs?

  • To verify if the Scheduler is running tasks as expected

  • To diagnose errors or failed automation processes

  • To confirm successful order downloads, inventory syncs, or data postings

  • To provide support teams with useful diagnostic information

Method 1: View Today’s Log from the System Tray

This is the quickest way to access the most recent Scheduler activity.

Steps to follow:

  1. Go to the System Tray

    • On the machine where Webgility Desktop is installed and the Scheduler is running, look at the bottom-right corner of your screen (near the clock/date).

    • Click the arrow to expand the hidden icons.

  2. Locate the Webgility  Desktop icon

    • Right-click on the icon.

  3. Select "Today’s Log"

    • This opens the latest Scheduler log file showing all activities performed by the Scheduler on the current day.

Method 2: Access the Full Log Folder

This method allows you to view historical log files beyond just today's.

Steps to follow:

  1. On the same machine running the Webgility Scheduler, navigate to the following folder:

    C:\Webgility\UnifyEnterprise\SchedulerLog
  2. Inside this folder, you'll find a list of .txt log files, each named by date and time.

  3. Open any file using Notepad or any text editor to review Scheduler activity for that specific date.

Note: Always check the logs on the primary system where the Webgility Scheduler is configured to run.
