This article explains how to resolve the “System.OutOfMemoryException” error in Webgility Desktop when communicating with QuickBooks POS. The issue often occurs if the Webgility Scheduler gets stuck, a known QuickBooks POS limitation. To fix temporarily, ensure Windows and POS are updated, restart the POS application and database machine, restart Webgility Desktop, and restart the QBPOS Database Manager service.

Steps To Resolve:

Check for Updates - Verify if there are any pending updates for both the QuickBooks POS application and your current Windows system. Install any available updates.

Restart POS System - Close the POS application on all the POS machines, and reboot the main POS Database machine.

Restart POS services - Open ‘Services’ in Windows, locate QBPOS Database Manager, right-click on it, and Restart, as shown in the image below.
