Causes of the COM Class Exception Error:

  • Missing "UnifyMergeModule": The "UnifyMergeModule" might not be installed correctly or may be missing.​

  • .NET Framework Issues: Essential .NET Framework components required for Webgility Online to function properly might not be enabled or installed.​

  • Integration Problems: Issues with the integration between Webgility Online and QuickBooks Desktop can trigger this error.


Steps to Resolve:

1). Install the Webgility Merge Module.

  • Navigate to: C:\Webgility> UnifyExtension

  • Locate the file named "UnifyMergeModule".

  • Right-click on the file and select “Open” to install.

 


2). If you encounter error related to DOTNET Framework then need to enable the feature for the same first and then try reinstallation of Merge Module

  • Open Control Panel on your computer.

  • Go to Programs> Programs and Features.

  • Click on Turn Windows features on or off in the left panel.

  • In the Windows Features dialog box:

    • Check the boxes for .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) and .NET Framework 4.8 Advanced Services.

  • Click OK to save the changes.

  • Select Let Windows update download the files for you if prompted.

  • After enabling the .NET features, reinstall the UnifyMergeModule again to ensure proper integration. Once done then test the Webgility Extension connection with QuickBooks Desktop.
