Shopify Payout Reports in Webgility Analytics

This article helps Webgility application users understand the Shopify Payouts and Fees summary available in the Webgility Analytics report. The report provides a daily overview of Shopify payouts and related fees, mapped to corresponding order data. It is updated nightly, with data displayed in Pacific Time (PT) and USD. For new users or newly connected Shopify stores, data may take up to one day to populate.

Overview:

To access the Shopify Payout report, login to portal.webgility.com from your profile icon on the upper right-hand side, click on your Profile name from the dropdown to open the Analytics tab and select Payouts.

What you Can Do from the Payouts Section?

  • View Payout Reports
    Access and review downloaded reports, including detailed breakdowns of fees, refunds, and adjustments.

  • Analyze Fees by Category
    Track expenses organized by type, such as:

    • Shipping charges

    • Payment processing fees

    • Shopify platform or app-related fees

  • Separate Order and Non-Order Expenses
    Clearly distinguish between:

    • Order-specific costs like refunds and transaction fees.

    • General Shopify charges unrelated to specific orders.

Available Filters

  • Sales Channel
    Filter data by a specific Shopify sales channel. By default, all connected sales channels are included.

  • Currency
    Display data in a specific currency (one at a time). Default is set to USD.

  • Date Range
    Customize the timeframe to view settlement reports for any desired period. The default range is the last three months.

Default Data Displayed in the Payouts Tab

  • Net Proceeds Trend – Graphical view of net income over time.

  • Payout Reports – Summarized list of available Shopify payout data.

  • Payouts Received – Record of all received payout transactions.

  • Payouts by Sales Channel – Breakdown of payouts by store or channel.

  • Net Proceeds – Final earnings after deductions and fees.

Net Proceeds

The Net Proceeds chart provides a day-wise trend of your Shopify settlements for the selected date range. It visually summarizes:

  • Sales and balance reserves (above the x-axis)

  • Expenses and deductions (below the x-axis)

  • A trend line that indicates net earnings after deductions

This view helps you monitor performance and spot fluctuations in income over time.

Net Proceeds

Payout Report

The Payout Report is a pivot table summarizing financial activity across all Shopify payouts for the selected period. It includes:

  • Beginning Balances – Opening amounts before new transactions

  • Sales – Total charges including:

    • Product prices

    • Shipping fees

    • Taxes

    • Miscellaneous charges

  • Refunds – Refunded transactions and associated costs

  • Expenses – Fees deducted by Shopify, including:

    • Platform fees

    • Payment processing charges

  • Adjustments – Manual or automatic changes applied by Shopify

  • Net Proceeds – Final amount received after all deductions

You can export this summary to CSV or Excel formats for external analysis.


Payouts Received

This section shows the total number of payouts received from Shopify during the selected time period. It gives a quick snapshot of how frequently funds have been disbursed to your account.


Payouts by Sales Channel

Payouts by Sales Channel is another pivot view that breaks down your Shopify payouts based on the sales channels connected to your store. It includes:

  • Sales – Total product sales, shipping, taxes, and related charges

  • Refunds – Refunded sales and any refund-related costs

  • Expenses – Shopify and payment processing fees by channel

This breakdown helps assess the financial performance of each channel individually.
