Error: Error While Creating Customer in QuickBooks. Error Message: The “[Customer Name]” of the list element is already in use.

Cause of the error:

 

It is a warning that your QuickBooks file already has another customer or vendor with the same name.

 

 

Steps to Resolve:

  1. Verify that the Customer name exists as a Vendor/Customer in QuickBooks.

  2. Change the existing customer name in QuickBooks.

  3. Once the changes have been made we need to download the latest QuickBooks data in Webgility and post the order:
