Verify Webgility Online Connection Extension with QuickBooks Desktop
If Webgility Online is not communicating with your QuickBooks Desktop, you would need to verify the connection between Webgility Extension & QuickBooks. Webgility Online uses a desktop Extension to communicate with QuickBooks Desktop.
Steps to verify the connection:
1). Ensure that the version of Webgility Desktop Extension is v1.4.0. To check the installed extension version go to System Tray> Right Click on Webgility Desktop Icon.
2). If the Webgility Desktop version is not v1.4.0 then installed it from the below URL: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0b36n5r849maf1x/WebgilityExtensionInstaller%20%282%29.zip?dl=0
3). Once installed, please right-click on Webgility Extension Icon from the System Tray and click Reconnect to QuickBooks
4). Select the version of Accounting software from the dropdown menu
5). Enter the QuickBooks Company File Location
6). For QuickBooks File Location, login to QBs as Admin, press the F2 button which would open the notification box wherein you can see the "Company File Location", copy the location & ensure to click OK to close the window.
7). From Webgility Extension, please click Connect to QuickBooks, now.
8). You will receive an Application Certificate popup in QuickBooks. You will need to select Yes, always; allow access even if QuickBooks is not running, select Admin from the dropdown for Login as, & Click Continue.
9). Click Done on the next pop-up window.
10). Once connected successfully you will receive a message stating that you are Successfully connected to QuickBooks. Click OK, then Save and Close
11). Then launch the Webgility extension, if it didn’t launch automatically and from the system tray right click on the extension icon, then click Manual Sync Now.
12). Once connected successfully, refresh the Webgility Online screen and you should see the green check for the extension icon.
