What to Do When Webgility Scheduler Won’t Start
This guide helps Webgility Desktop users resolve issues when the scheduler in Webgility Desktop fails to start. It outlines the necessary steps to ensure the scheduler is up-to-date and functioning correctly.
Identifying the Issue:
- Gray (no color): Automation is off (the Scheduler icon will not be visible in the system tray
- Amber: Automation is ready (the Scheduler icon will be visible in the system tray, but the Start button will be clickable)
- Green: Automation Running (the Scheduler icon will be visible in the system tray, but the Start button will be non-clickable as it is already started and running)
Troubleshooting Steps
1. Check Scheduler Service Status

Launch Webgility Desktop

On the Upper Right Hand Side check the Shceduler Icon Color

Confirm that:

Scheduler is enabled (Green)

2. Restart the Scheduler

From your System Tray click on the small arrow, right click on the Scheduler icon select Stop & Exit.
- Once the Scheduler is off, go back to Webgility Desktop click on the Scheduler Icon and select start Scheduler from the prompt.
4. Check for Webgility Desktop Software Updates

In Webgility Desktop, go to Help and click on Check For Updates.

If an update is available:

Follow on-screen instructions to install it.

Reboot the application once the update completes.
