Troubleshooting Shopify Payout Posting Issues Caused by Incomplete Order Downloads

This article helps Webgility Desktop users troubleshoot Shopify payout posting errors in Webgility Desktop, especially those caused by missing or incomplete order downloads and API synchronization failures.

Steps To Resolve:

  • While syncing the Shopify Payouts in Webgility Desktop under Orders go to Shopify and click on Payouts, users might face errors while syncing the report over to QuickBooks
  • Click on the Error Prompt, once the Payout is stuck to get the list of order numbers which are impacting the Payout Report.
  • Copy the order numbers on a notepad by clicking on the error prompt message, press Ctrl+c on your Keyboard and paste it on a notepad.
  • Search the Impacted Orders under Posted Tab, select the order and right-click on the order, select Undo Sync.
  • Once all the orders in the error message are unsycned from QuickBooks, they will move to the New Orders tab, bulk select those orders, right click on anyone order and click on Re-download Order.
  • Webgility Desktop will download the latest order details, navigate back to Orders go to Shopify and click on Payout and retry posting the Shopify Payout Report.
  • The Payout Report will sync the impacted orders back to QuickBooks, once the Payout Report is posted successfully.
