Troubleshooting Duplicate Orders Caused by Multiple Active Webgility Desktop Extensions

This article helps Webgility Online users identify and resolve duplicate order issues caused by the Webgility Desktop Extension running simultaneously on multiple computers. It explains how overlapping extension usage can trigger repeated order syncs and provides step-by-step guidance to prevent and correct duplicate postings.

Step 1: Confirm Duplicate Order Syncing

  1. Open the order and Click on History to confirm if showing duplicate posting 

  2. Look for identical order numbers in Accounting System and confirm if multiple sync attempts are recorded for the same order.


Step 2: Identify Active Webgility Extension Usage

  1. Check each computer or browser where Webgility is accessed.

  2. Review whether the Webgility extension is currently active or running in the background.

  3. Close or disable the extension on all but one primary system used for syncing.


Step 3: Test the Sync Process

  1. With the extension disabled everywhere except one system, allow the next scheduled sync to run.

  2. Monitor order activity to confirm whether duplicate orders stop appearing.
