Troubleshooting and Removing Sales Channels in Webgility Desktop
This article helps Webgility Desktop users remove a sales channel (e.g., "My Big Commerce 2") from their application. It also addresses common issues like loading problems or unexpected redirects that may occur during removal, explaining how the store can still be deleted in the backend.
Overview
Removing a sales channel is a straightforward process within Webgility Desktop. While occasional front-end display issues (like continuous loading or redirection) might occur, the channel is often successfully removed from your Webgility Desktop configuration. This guide will help you perform the removal.
Steps to Remove a Sales Channel
Follow these instructions to remove an unwanted sales channel from your Webgility Desktop setup:
-
Open Webgility Desktop: Launch the Webgility Desktop application on your computer and log in.
-
Navigate to Manage Sales Channels:
- From the main menu, go to Connections.
- Then, click on Sales Channels.
- Select Manage Sales Channels.
-
Locate the Sales Channel to Remove:
- In the list of your connected sales channels, find the specific channel you wish to remove (e.g., "My Big Commerce 2").
-
Initiate Deletion:
- Under the Action column for the target sales channel, click on the Delete icon (often represented by a trash can or an 'X').
-
Confirm Deletion:
-
A confirmation prompt will appear, asking you to confirm that you want to remove the sales channel. Click Yes or OK to proceed.
-
Note: During this step, you might encounter a loading screen that appears to hang or redirects unexpectedly. Even if this happens, the deletion process may still complete in the background.
-
-
Verify Removal:
- After attempting the deletion, the sales channel should no longer appear in your Manage Sales Channels list.
- If you experience a prolonged loading issue or redirection:
- Close and reopen Webgility Desktop.
- Go back to Connections > Sales Channels > Manage Sales Channels to verify if the store has been removed.
If the store is no longer present in your list, the removal was successful despite any front-end display anomalies you may have encountered during the process.
