Release notes for Webgility Online v8.52.0

We're excited to introduce several new features and enhancements designed to improve connectivity, increase flexibility, streamline automation, and expand marketplace support. Here's what's new in this release.

Whats New?

Reauthorize Option for QuickBooks Online

We've improved the QuickBooks Online connection experience by introducing a new Reauthorize option.

Previously, some users experienced connection interruptions between QuickBooks Online and Webgility Online. The common workaround required disconnecting and reconnecting the integration, which could potentially result in the loss of existing mappings and configuration settings.

With this update, users can now repair their QuickBooks Online connection without removing the integration, preserving all existing preferences and mappings while restoring connectivity.

BigCommerce Order Source Filters

BigCommerce users can now better control which orders are downloaded into Webgility.

For merchants utilizing third-party channels such as Zonos and other external sources, orders with unknown or null source values were previously downloaded without any filtering options. The new Order Source Filter allows users to explicitly include or exclude specific order sources, providing greater control over order imports and helping reduce unwanted transactions.

Select Inventory Adjustment Account for QuickBooks Online

Inventory adjustments now offer greater accounting flexibility.

Previously, inventory adjustment transactions synced to QuickBooks Online were automatically posted to the default Inventory Shrinkage (COGS) account. This created challenges for businesses that record inventory adjustments against asset, clearing, or other custom accounts.

Users can now select their preferred QuickBooks Online account for inventory adjustment transactions directly from:

Sync Settings → Products

This setting can be configured independently for each store profile.

Sales Tax as a Separate Line Item for QuickBooks Online Canada

Canadian QuickBooks Online users can now post sales tax as a dedicated line item.

This functionality was previously available only for QuickBooks Online US users. With this release, Canadian users can now enable the same workflow, allowing sales tax to be recorded separately within transactions and supporting bookkeeping practices that require detailed tax reporting.

Enhanced Automation Summary Emails

We've redesigned automation summary emails to provide clearer visibility into automation outcomes and help users resolve issues faster.

What's Improved?

  • Three distinct automation statuses:
    • Successful
    • Errors Found
    • Flags Requiring Review
  • Errors are now displayed prominently at the top of the email.
  • Plain-language explanations help users quickly understand issues.
  • Direct action buttons guide users to affected orders for faster resolution.
  • A new Flags section highlights transactions that require review before posting.

These improvements help ensure that important issues are no longer overlooked and that automation results are easier to act upon.

Automation Email Click Tracking

To better understand customer engagement with automation notifications, Webgility now tracks interactions with action buttons within automation summary emails.

Tracked actions include clicks on buttons such as:

  • Fix Orders
  • Review Flags

The system records both the initial email click and the corresponding post-login action, allowing our team to gain deeper insights into how users interact with automation alerts and workflows.

Shopify Custom Discount Codes as Individual Line Items

Shopify merchants can now download and sync custom discount codes as separate line items.

Businesses using loyalty programs, rewards systems, and promotional campaigns often need greater visibility into discounts applied to orders. Webgility now retrieves individual discount details through Shopify's GraphQL API, including:

  • Discount title
  • Discount amount
  • Discount type

This enhancement provides improved reporting accuracy and greater transaction transparency.

Min Order Date Setting

A new Min Order Date setting gives users more control over order downloads.

In some cases, updates made to older Shopify orders caused those orders to be re-downloaded into Webgility because of changes to the order's modified date. This often created unnecessary processing and clutter.

Users can now specify a minimum order date within:

Order Settings

Any order older than the selected date will not be downloaded, even if it is later modified on the storefront.

Amazon Product Search Enhancements

Finding products is now faster and easier for Amazon sellers.

Users can now search for products using:

  • Marketplace ID
  • ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number)

This enhancement simplifies product management and helps users quickly locate specific Amazon listings.

TikTok Shop Native Integration

Webgility Online now supports TikTok Shop as a native direct sales channel.

The new integration enables users to:

  • Download products
  • Download orders
  • Download refunds

This addition expands Webgility's multichannel commerce capabilities and allows businesses selling on TikTok Shop to manage their operations alongside their other connected sales channels.
