Release Notes for Webgility Desktop v9.10.6
The latest Webgility Desktop enhancements are designed to improve inventory visibility, simplify accounting workflows, maintain FedEx shipping compliance, and make Amazon FBA reconciliation easier.
What's New & Why It Matters
1) Multi-Location Inventory Sync — Shopify + QuickBooks Desktop:Users with multiple Shopify store locations had no way to sync
inventory at the location level with QuickBooks Desktop sites.
Stock was tracked in aggregate, making it impossible to know
exactly which location had a discrepancy.
Now users can map each Shopify location to a specific QBD site,
with full upload and download sync support. A new segregated UI
view shows quantity differences location by location — so users
can pinpoint and resolve inventory gaps without guesswork.
2) FedEx Compliance — MFA Registration Flow:
FedEx now requires MFA-based re-registration for all connected
apps. Users who miss this will lose FedEx shipping functionality.
Webgility Desktop now includes the complete registration flow within the
FedEx Brand screens — parent/child authentication, address
validation, PIN generation (SMS/email/call), and invoice
validation — so users can re-register without leaving the app.
Action required: users on FedEx should complete re-registration
at the earliest.
3) Shopify Refunds — Single Check Instead of Two Steps:
Posting a Shopify refund in QuickBooks Desktop previously
required two entries: a Credit Memo followed by a Refund Check.
This created extra reconciliation steps and cluttered the books.
Users can now post Shopify refunds as a single Check — one
transaction that debits the expense account and credits the bank
directly. Cleaner books, fewer entries. (QBD Phase 1)
4) Amazon FBA Inventory Reconciliation:
Amazon FBA sellers had no automated way to reconcile inventory
across FBA warehouse, in-transit stock, and QuickBooks Desktop.
Discrepancies required manual ledger pulls and SQL-level fixes.
Now users can generate a full FBA inventory reconciliation
report directly from Webgility Desktop— opening balance, net movement,
and closing balance per SKU, with sellable vs non-sellable
breakdown. No more manual ledger exports or guesswork.
