This guide is designed to help users map inventory items between QuickBooks and BigCommerce using an Excel or CSV file, understand the purpose of the 'Missing in QuickBooks' and 'Missing in BigCommerce' tabs, and ensure that product prices remain synchronized after updates are made in QuickBooks.

Item Mapping via Excel/CSV Upload

Supported File Types

  • Only CSV files are supported for item mapping. Excel (.xlsx) files must be converted to CSV before upload.

Steps to Map Items

  1. Obtain the mapping template. Open the product mappings template located at C:\Webgility\UnifyEnterprise\Templates
    • Download the CSV template provided.
  2. Prepare the CSV file:
    • Populate the template with the relevant item SKUs and required mapping fields.
    • Save as a CSV file if editing was done in Excel.
  3. Upload the mapping file.
    • In item mapping, use the Import CSV or Upload Mapping option.
    • Select your prepared CSV file and start the import process.
    • Review any errors that appear post-upload and resolve them according to in-app prompts.

Special Tabs

  • Missing in QuickBooks: Items in BigCommerce that are not mapped to any QuickBooks entry.
  • Missing in BigCommerce: Items in QuickBooks that are not mapped to any BigCommerce entry.
  • Use these tabs to identify and address unmapped items.

Price Synchronization Process

Steps to Sync Product Prices from QuickBooks to BigCommerce

  1. Update product prices in QuickBooks as needed.
  2. Ensure mapping is up to date:
    • Verify that all products involved are correctly mapped between QuickBooks and BigCommerce.
  3. Initiate sync:
    • Go to the Sync Settings or relevant module.
    • Trigger a manual sync using the Sync Now button or schedule an automatic sync.
  4. Verify results:
    • Check product prices in both QuickBooks and BigCommerce for confirmation.
