Managing Large Order Batches in the Archive Tab (Webgility Desktop)
This article helps Webgility Desktop users efficiently move large batches of archived orders by increasing the default selection limit. It explains how to adjust this limit ex. up to 5,000 rows to streamline bulk order management.
Overview
If you’ve ever tried to move a large number of orders from the Archive tab in Webgility Desktop and noticed that only a limited number were selectable, you’re not alone. By default, Webgility limits how many rows you can select at once—but the good news is, you can change that setting to work with larger batches.
This quick guide shows you how to increase your selection limit so you can easily manage and move more orders at once.
Why This Happens
Webgility Desktop sets a default selection limit (often 30 rows) in the Archive tab. That means if you’re trying to move more than 30 orders at once, you won’t be able to do it until you adjust the limit.
How to Increase Your Selection Limit and Move Orders
-
Open Webgility Desktop and go to the Archive tab where your orders are listed.
-
Look for the selection limit drop-down (typically near the top or bottom of the list).
-
Click the drop-down and choose a higher number—up to 5,000 rows.
-
Select the orders you want to move (within the new limit).
-
Click the Move button or follow your usual process to relocate the orders.
Tips for Smoother Bulk Actions
-
Always check the selection limit before starting a big batch move.
-
If you’re working with more than 5,000 orders, break them into smaller batches.
-
After moving, give the system a moment to update and confirm the changes.
Good to Know
Once the selection limit is increased, you should be able to move larger groups of orders without issue. There’s no need to make additional changes unless future updates modify these limits.
