How to Update Login Credentials and Sales Channel Information in the Webgility App
This article helps Webgility app users update their login credentials and sales channel information within Webgility app. It covers how to change the Webgility Portal password, update product login details, and refresh sales channel credentials. The step-by-step instructions apply to both Webgility Desktop and Webgility Online users.
Types of Webgility Login Credentials
Webgility provides two types of credentials:

Webgility Portal Account – For managing billing, users, and subscriptions.

Webgility Product Login – For accessing Webgility Desktop or Online.
Note: These credentials are independent. Changing one will not update the other.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Change Your Webgility Portal Credentials
You can update your Webgility Portal login email or password by visiting: https://portal.webgility.com
From Webgility Desktop:

Click the profile icon in the top-right corner.

Go to Accounts > Manage My Account to open the Webgility Portal.
From Webgility Online:

Click the profile icon (top-right).
-
Select My Account to access the Portal.
Once inside the Webgility Portal:

Navigate to the Home > Profile section.

Click Edit to change your email or Change Password to update your password.
2. Change Webgility Product Login Credentials
To update user login details used to access the Webgility application:

Log in to Webgility Portal

Navigate to Add-ons > Users
-
Click Edit next to the user you want to modify.

Change the email address or password as needed, and click Save.
3. Update Sales Channel Credentials in Webgility Desktop
If you’ve changed your credentials on your sales channel (e.g., Shopify or Magento), follow these steps:

Open Webgility Desktop.

Go to Connections > Sales Channels > Manage Sales Channel.

Find the sales channel to update and click the Edit icon under the Action column.

Enter the updated credentials:

For Magento, input the new credentials and click Test Store Connection.

For Shopify, enter the new store URL and click Connect to Shopify.

After successfully connecting:

Continue through the steps to confirm store details.

Click Save Store, then close the settings window.

Note: The configuration screens may vary slightly depending on the sales channel.

Always double-check credentials before saving.

When updating sales channel credentials, ensure you have admin access to the sales channel.
