This issue occurs when:

Before You Begin: Investigation Checklist

Check Magento 2 Tax Settings

In Magneto 2 navigate to Stores go to Taxes and click on Tax Rules.

Verify AST Status in QBO

In QuickBooks Online on the upper right side click on the gear icon and go to Settings, then taxes.

Confirm whether Automated Sales Tax (AST) is enabled for the company file in Tax Settings or not.

If AST is not enabled:

Step 1: Retry Posting the Order

In Webgility Desktop navigate to Connections go to Get Latest Data & Settings and download QuickBooks & Store Data.

Open the impacted order in Webgility Desktop, click on the re-download button at the bottom right which will re-download the order with the latest order details.
- Once the order has been re-downloaded retry posting the order back to QuickBooks.
