Set up Webgility Desktop on the new machine:

3. Install SQL Server

You can install SQL Server in two ways:

Option A: Through the Webgility Application

  • Launch the Webgility Desktop app.

  • On login, you’ll be prompted to install SQL.

  • Select “This is a new computer, install SQL server and create Webgility database” and click Continue.

Option B: Manual Installation

  • If required, download the latest version of SQL Server directly from the official Microsoft website.

4. Restore the Database

Once SQL is installed:

  • Copy your database backup from the old computer.

  • Paste it into the Webgility folder on the new computer.

  • Launch Webgility and choose Restore Backup.

  • Select the file to restore the database.

5. Test and Verify Connections

After restoration:

  • Log in to Webgility.

  • Go to the Dashboard.

  • Verify your Sales Channel and Accounting Connections are active.

  • Run a test order sync to confirm everything is working properly.

Notes

  • Ensure the old computer is not actively using Webgility while restoring the database to avoid data conflicts.

  • Admin rights may be required for SQL installation.

  • Restart the Webgility Scheduler if automated sync is used.
