How to solve“Please Post the Settlement When the Order Gets Paid” Error in Webgility Desktop

This article helps Webgility Desktop users resolve the “Payment Status is Unpaid. Please Post the Settlement When the Order Gets Paid” error encountered when posting Amazon Settlement Reports in Webgility Desktop. This error indicates that the associated order has not yet been confirmed or marked as paid by Amazon, preventing the settlement from being processed.

The error message: “Payment Status is Unpaid. Please Post the Settlement When the Order Gets Paid” typically occurs when posting an Amazon Settlement Report in Webgility Desktop. This means the associated order has not yet been confirmed or marked as paid by Amazon, which prevents the settlement from being processed.

Causes

This issue can result from one or more of the following:

  • Pending Payment: The order hasn’t yet been paid or confirmed in Amazon Seller Central.

  • Unconfirmed Settlement Entry: Amazon has included the order in a settlement report, but the payment is still pending.

  • Manually Downloaded Order: The order was manually fetched before confirmation.

  • Pending Orders Enabled: “Download Pending Orders” is turned on in Webgility settings, allowing unconfirmed orders into the system.

How to Resolve the Error

Step 1: Verify Payment Status in Amazon

  1. Log in to your Amazon Seller Central account

  2. Locate the order referenced in the error

  3. Check if the payment status is still marked as unpaid or pending

Step 2: Wait for Payment Confirmation

  • If the order is still unpaid, wait until Amazon confirms the payment.

  • Settlement cannot be posted until the order is marked as paid in Amazon.

Step 3: Redownload the Order in Webgility

Once the payment is confirmed:

  1. In Webgility Desktop, re-download the order
