How to solve Webgility Extension connection issue with Quickbooks

 This guide applies to Webgility Online users integrated with QuickBooks Desktop.

 

Please complete the following steps before updating:

  1. Turn off the Webgility Desktop Extension.

    • From your system tray, right-click the WDE icon and choose Exit.

  2. Close your QuickBooks Desktop company file.

  3. Check for Queued Orders in Webgility:

    • If orders are in the Queued tab:

      • Launch the Webgility Desktop Extension.

      • From the system tray, right-click the WDE icon.

      • Select Manual Sync Now to process and clear the queue.

 Step-by-Step: How to Update the Webgility Desktop Extension

Step 1: Request the Latest Installer

To get the latest version of the Webgility Desktop Extension - refer link.

Step 2: Launch the Installer

  • Open your Downloads folder.

  • Double-click the file: WebgilityExtensionInstaller.exe.

Step 3: Begin Installation

  • When prompted, click Run.

Step 4: Confirm Reinstallation

  • You may see a message about reinstalling—click Yes to proceed.

Step 5: Accept License Agreement

  • Select I accept the agreement and click Next.

Step 6: Choose Install Location

  • Leave the default folder selected, or choose a different one if needed.

  • Click Next.

Step 7: Confirm Folder Location

  • Click Yes to confirm the folder location.

Step 8: Confirm Start Menu Folder

  • Click Next to proceed.

Step 9: Choose Desktop Shortcut Option

  • To create a shortcut, leave the Create a desktop shortcut box selected.

  • Click Next.

Step 10: Install

  • Review your settings.

  • If all looks good, click Install.
     Installation usually takes 3–5 minutes.

Step 11: Finish Setup

  • Leave the Launch Webgility Desktop Extension box checked.

  • Click Finish to complete the update.

The Webgility Desktop Extension is now updated to the latest version and ready to use with QuickBooks Desktop.
