How to Permanently Delete Orders in Webgility Desktop
This article helps Webgility Desktop users permanently remove old or incorrect orders from Webgility Desktop. It provides a step-by-step guide to safely delete and purge orders from the system without leaving behind unnecessary data.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Delete Orders from New Orders Tab
-
Navigate to the New Orders tab.
-
Select the order(s) you want to delete.
-
Right-click on the selected order(s) and choose Delete from the pop-up menu.
📌 This action moves the order(s) to the Trash tab but does not delete them permanently.
2. Permanently Delete Orders from Trash
-
Go to the Trash tab.
-
You now have two options:
-
Restore Orders: Right-click and select Undo Empty to move the orders back to their original location.
-
Permanently Delete Orders: Click Empty Trash to remove the orders from Webgility permanently.
-
Notes
-
Deleted orders in the Trash can still be restored unless you choose to empty the trash.
-
If an order was permanently deleted, you can re-download it using Get New Orders or by applying the correct order number/date range filters.
⚠️ Do not delete Posted Orders directly.
If you wish to remove a posted order:
Use Undo Sync to unpost it from QuickBooks.
Then delete the order from Webgility.
- If you need to delete a posted order that's already been synced to QuickBooks, please follow the same process outlined above.
