How to map and post correct shipping methods with Webgility Desktop
This article helps Webgility Desktop users map shipping methods from their online store to QuickBooks Desktop to ensure the correct shipping method appears in the Ship Via field of QuickBooks Desktop transactions. It provides a step-by-step guide to align shipping method data between platforms for accurate order processing.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Navigate to Sync Settings

Go to Connections > Accounting/POS/ERP > Sync Settings.
2. Access Shipment Mapping

In the Sync Settings window, select Orders from the left-hand side.

Under the Posting Rules section, click Setup next to Map shipping methods.
3. Map Shipping Methods

In the Shipment Mappings window, you'll see a list of shipping methods from your online store.

Use the dropdown under Select carrier to choose a carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS).

Enter the name of the shipping method from your Sales Channel.

Click Add New Method to create a mapping between your sales channel method and QuickBooks.
4. Save Your Mappings

After creating the necessary mappings, click Save & Close.

Then, click Save & Continue on the Orders page and close the Sync Settings window.

Make sure to create mappings for all shipping methods used in your sales channel to ensure they appear correctly in QuickBooks.

You can revisit the Shipment Mappings screen anytime to add or edit mappings.
