How to handle the removed item available on the Shopify Order in Webgility Desktop.

This article helps Webgility Desktop users manage order adjustments specific to the Shopify sales channel. In certain cases, users may need to remove or replace items in unfulfilled and unpaid orders directly from the Shopify admin. While Shopify allows these basic edits such as item removal or quantity changes these adjustments may not always be reflected in the associated payout data. To maintain accurate reconciliation and prevent discrepancies in accounting, Webgility Desktop offers the option to skip downloading such adjusted order data.

Overview:

 

In case of the Shopify sales channel, there are scenarios where you need to replace or remove an item from unfulfilled and unpaid orders. So Shopify allows you to make basic edits (like removing items or adjusting quantities) directly from the admin. Now there are chances where this adjustment data is not available in the Shopify payouts so for the reconciliation purpose you might need to skip this data from download in the orders in Webgility Desktop.

Note: This feature is exclusive to Shopify integrations and helps ensure that synced data in QuickBooks Desktop remains clean and consistent.

Set up the configuration:

  • In Webgility Desktop, navigate to Connections in the menu options and then go to Sales Channel then click on Settings.

  • Then under Download Options, look for “Do not download removed item with order” and enable it by checking its box. Once done then click on Save and Continue at the bottom.

  • Now all the required new orders will skip the download of the removed item information in them. For the existing orders which has already downloaded the removed item information in Webgility Desktop, kindly re-download them to fix.
