How to Disable the Payment Fees Line Item Feature in Webgility Desktop

This article helps Webgility Desktop users disable the option to post payment processing fees as a separate line item for orders via Webgility Desktop into Quickbooks Desktop. It provides step-by-step instructions to turn off the “Get processing fees as a line item” setting.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open Webgility Desktop Settings

  • Launch Webgility Desktop

  • Navigate to Connections > Sales Channel > Settings

2. Locate the Payment Fee Option

  • In the settings screen, look for the checkbox labeled “Get processing fees as a line item”

3. Disable the Feature

  • Uncheck this box to disable the feature

  • Click Save to apply the changes


Result

Once disabled, Webgility Desktop will stop adding payment processing fees as a line item in newly downloaded orders. This adjustment will help simplify your order posting and reconciliation process in QuickBooks.


Note:

Disabling this setting only affects future orders downloaded after the change is saved. Any past orders that already include the processing fee as a line item will remain unchanged.
