How to Disable Automatic Order Posting to QuickBooks Desktop via Scheduler
This article guides Webgility Desktop users on how to disable the automatic posting of orders to QuickBooks Desktop using the built-in Scheduler. For users who prefer to review orders manually before posting, the guide provides step-by-step instructions to turn off auto-posting, allowing full control over the accounting workflow.
Steps to Disable Automatic Order Posting in Webgility Desktop
1. Open Scheduler Settings
-
Launch Webgility Desktop.
-
Click the Scheduler Indicator icon in the top-right corner (next to the sales channel drop-down).
-
In the popup window, click Review Settings.
2. Select the Sales Channel
-
In the left-hand panel, select the sales channel (e.g., eBay, Shopify, Amazon) for which you want to stop automatic posting.
-
This displays the Scheduler settings specific to that sales channel.
3. Disable “Post Orders to QuickBooks”
-
Locate the checkbox or toggle labeled Post Orders to QuickBooks.
-
Uncheck this option to prevent automatic posting of downloaded orders into QuickBooks.
4. Save Changes
-
Click Save to apply your updated Scheduler settings.
Notes
-
This change only applies to the selected sales channel. If you have multiple channels, repeat these steps for each one where you want to disable automatic posting.
-
Orders can still be manually posted to QuickBooks at any time using the Post to QuickBooks button within the Orders module of Webgility Desktop.
