How to Bulk Map Items Using a CSV File in Webgility

Product mapping in Webgility Desktop ensures accurate synchronization and transaction posting between your online store and QuickBooks. If products do not automatically match, you can manually import product mappings using a .CSV file. This guide walks you through importing product mappings using a standardized spreadsheet template.

Steps to Import Product Mappings via .CSV

1. Identify Unmapped Products

  • Navigate to: Products > Missing in QuickBooks or Missing in Store

  • Click the Export icon (bottom-right) to download the list of unmapped products


2. Prepare the Mapping File

  • Open the exported file in Excel or another spreadsheet tool

  • Copy the SKUs from the SKU column


3. Open the Product Mapping Template

  • Navigate to:
    C:\Webgility\UnifyEnterprise\Templates

  • Choose the appropriate template:

    • Use the POS template for QuickBooks POS

    • Use the QuickBooks template for QuickBooks Desktop/Online


4. Enter Mapping Details

  • Paste the copied SKUs into the Store Item Identifier column

  • In the QuickBooks Item Name column, enter the corresponding item name from QuickBooks

  • Save the file after completing all entries


5. Import the Mappings into Webgility

  • Go to: Products > All Products > Mapped

  • Click the Import icon (bottom-right)

  • Browse to the saved .CSV file and import the mappings


6. Confirm Mapping Completion

  • A confirmation message will appear upon successful import
