Fixing 'Number of Parameter Count and Value Count is Not Same' Error in Webgility Desktop

This article helps Webgility Desktop users resolve the “parameter count mismatch” error in Webgility Desktop, which typically occurs when the application attempts a database action but encounters conflicting or missing information. The error may appear during data sync, tab switching, or while opening configuration settings.

Common Causes

  • Corrupted or inconsistent database entries

  • Incomplete or outdated Webgility Desktop installation

  • Version mismatch between Webgility and its connectors

Step 1: Update Webgility Desktop

To ensure compatibility and fix known bugs, always use the latest version of Webgility Desktop.

  • Open Webgility Desktop.

  • Go to Help > Check for Updates.

  • If an update is available, install it and restart the application.

  • Repeat this process on all machines using Webgility.

If you're unable to log in, download the latest version directly from portal.webgility.com.

Step 2: Run the Webgility Database Utility Tool

Important: Before performing any database operation, please create a backup of your Webgility database (from System > Database > Backup).

Then follow these steps:

  1. Close Webgility Desktop on all computers.

  2. On the main computer (the one where Webgility is installed), go to:
    C:\Webgility\Unify Enterprise

  3. Locate and open the file named unifyDBUtility.exe.

  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to repair and optimize the Webgility database.

After completing these steps, the parameter mismatch error should be resolved. If the issue continues, ensure all computers in your environment are updated and the database utility has been run successfully.
