Fixing Connection Issues Between Webgility Desktop and QuickBooks Desktop After Database Migration
This article helps Webgility Desktop users resolve connection issues between Webgility Desktop and a QuickBooks Desktop company file after moving Webgility Desktop to a new server. It provides step-by-step instructions to ensure the new server has the proper permissions and access to reconnect successfully.
Why This Happens:

Press F2 or Ctrl + 1 in QuickBooks to open the Product Information window.
Copy the File Location path listed there. -
Enter the File Location in Webgility.
Go back to Webgility Desktop and paste the path into the Company File Location field.
Click Connect to QuickBooks. -
Approve the Connection in QuickBooks.
When prompted, approve the Application Certificate in QuickBooks to grant Webgility access. -
Continue Setup in Webgility.
Click Continue to proceed to Order Processing Settings.
Configure your basic preferences. -
