Steps to Resolve: Downloading Shopify Payout by ID

  1. Identify the Payout ID:
    • Login to Shopify as admin and navigate to the payout section. (e.g., https://admin.shopify.com/store/yourstore/finances/payouts/<payout_id>).
    • The sequence (number) after /payouts/ is the Payout ID.
    • Copy the Payout ID.
  2. Use Webgility 'Download by ID':
    • In Webgility, navigate to Payouts section.
    • Click Download by ID (usually found near standard download options).
    • Paste the copied Payout ID into the prompt.
    • Click Download & confirm that the payout downloads and appears in the list.
  3. Verify Posting in QuickBooks:
    • Process the payout as usual to post into QuickBooks.
    • Confirm successful sync and posting.
    • Check that payout reconciliation info matches Shopify.
