Clean Install of Webgility Desktop: When and How to Start Fresh
This document helps Webgility Desktop users perform a clean reinstallation of Webgility Desktop. It is intended for situations where a fresh install is necessary and data from the previous installation will be lost.
Steps
1. Data Loss Advisory
Uninstalling and reinstalling Webgility from scratch will permanently erase all locally stored data and settings.
Please proceed only if this is acceptable.
2. Clean Uninstallation

Uninstall Webgility via:
Control Panel > Programs and Features > Uninstall Webgility -
Manually remove any remaining files and folders from the previous installation path, typically:

C:\Webgility

3. Fresh Installation

Download the latest Webgility installer from:
https://portal.webgility.com -
Right-click the installer and choose Run as administrator
4. Initial Setup

Launch Webgility after installation.

Connect to your accounting system (QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, or NetSuite).

Connect your sales channels (e.g., Amazon, Shopify, eBay).
Additional settings such as shipping, product mapping, and automation rules can be configured after the initial setup is complete.
