You might receive the error message, "QuickBooks encountered an error while calculating tax.

Reason:

This error typically occurs when the selected tax item in QuickBooks Online has been updated or deleted, leading to a discrepancy during the tax calculation process.

Resolution Steps:

1). Update Sales Tax Items:

  • In Webgility Online, navigate to the Sync Settings drop-down menu in the bottom left corner.

  • Select Sales Tax from the available options.

  • Click on the Refresh button to download the latest sales tax items from QuickBooks Online.

2). Review State and Location Mapping (If Applicable):

  • If you have mapped states and locations, review the mapping to ensure that no states are highlighted in black, indicating a mapping issue that needs correction.

  • If state and location mapping is not configured, simply click Save to apply the updated tax items.

3). Retry Posting the Order:
