Add the Accounting Transaction # to the Sales Channel Order after posting it to QuickBooks.

This article explains Webgility Online users how to configure Webgility Online to automatically update the Sales Channel Order with the Accounting Transaction Number after posting it to QuickBooks Online. This process ensures seamless synchronization and accurate transaction tracking between Webgility Online and the connected sales channel.

Note: This feature applies to Shopify channel only.

Overview:

Webgility Online offers a feature where in after posting an order to QuickBooks, an update can be sent to the Sales Channel Order with the corresponding Accounting Transaction #.

Step 1: Update Order Settings

  • In Webgility Online navigate to Connections > Sales Channels > Preferences in Webgility Online.
  • Enable the option "Update the online order with Transaction # after posting an Order to accounting software" and Save the settings.

 

Step 2: Post Order to QuickBooks Online

  • Navigate to the Sales > Orders tab and post an order to your QuickBooks Online.

 

Step 3: Check Transaction ID in QuickBooks

  • Verify the transaction ID in your QuickBooks Online for the posted order.

 

Step 4: Verify Transaction ID in Shopify

  • Visit your Shopify account and locate the same order you posted to QuickBooks Online. Scroll down to the notes section, where you'll find the Transaction ID generated by QuickBooks Online.

 

By following these steps, you ensure that the Transaction ID is seamlessly updated and visible across your Shopify Sales Channel for accurate tracking and management.
