Error “Cannot sync, since there are unposted orders containing these products”. “Please post your orders into QuickBooks before posting.”

This article guides Webgility Desktop users in resolving the error “Cannot sync, since there are unposted orders containing these products. Please post your orders into QuickBooks before posting.” The error occurs when products tied to unposted orders are blocked from product synchronization in Webgility Desktop. The article outlines how to create exceptions for the same by enabling the required settings in Product Sync Settings and moving the related orders under the required tabs.

Overview:

The error message "Cannot sync since there are unposted orders containing these products. Please post your orders into QuickBooks Desktop before posting" usually occurs when there is an attempt to sync data between Webgility Desktop and QuickBooks Desktop, but there are unposted orders that contain products, you are trying to sync.

Troubleshooting:

1). To search for the unposted orders, navigate to Orders> Search orders, apply the filter QuickBooks Desktop Status to Pending, and click on Search.

2). Once the list appears, you can click on the History tab of each order to check which tab the order belongs to.

3). If you want to post these orders to QuickBooks Desktop, post them into QuickBooks Desktop first, or move them to either the Canceled, Archived, Ignored or Trash tab.

4). Now navigate to Products> Settings, for the option, Assume the product is not Inorder when order status is, select all the options available and save the settings.

5). Once done, please try to sync the products, Webgility Desktop should now allow you to sync the products.

6). There is one more setting in Webgility Desktop that will allow you to Sync Items that are In Order.

7). InOrder settings allow you to sync quantity if the product is currently associated with an unposted order. This works for both automated sync and manual sync.
