Resolve Sales Channel Connection Issues with Webgility Desktop

Overview:
Encountering difficulties when trying to establish a connection with your sales channel can be a roadblock in your e-commerce operations. This article is designed to guide you through troubleshooting and resolving issues that may be preventing you from successfully connecting your sales channel.
Method 1: Test sales channel connection
Note: Here example sales channel is Shopify
- In Webgility Desktop navigate to Connections, click on Sales Channels and go to Manage Sales Channels.
- Click on the Edit icon under Action column, and then click on Connect to Shopify.
- User will be redirected to the Shopify Login Page, enter your Shopify Admin Credentials and login.
- Once you’re logged in, Webgility will display a ‘Successfully 'Connected’ prompt.
Method 2: Add Exception for Webgility Desktop in Antivirus/Malware programs
- Open your antivirus/security program, look for the specific setting which will allows you to add exceptions, once you are there then update path for Webgility Desktop directory is C:\Webgility.
- If possible you can also include “Unify.exe”, “UnifyScheduler.exe” & “UnifySchedulerService.exe” from the location C:\Webgility\UnifyEnterprise. Once you are done with adding the exceptions then you can restart Webgility Desktop.
Adding the Webgility Software to your antivirus exemption list can prevent it from being mistakenly flagged as a security threat, which can hinder the connection process.
2). Antivirus Software Exemptions
Sometimes, antivirus software can interfere with the connection process. To prevent this, add C:\Webgility to your antivirus software's exemption list. After making this change, restart the Webgility software.
