Troubleshoot Error - 6270 While Posting Orders from Webgility Online
In this article, we outline the troubleshooting steps necessary to resolve “ErrorCode : 6270 - You can’t create or modify a transaction with a date that comes before you started tracking quantity on hand. Please update items 'as of date' within Quickbook.”, which occurs while posting orders from Webgility Online in QuickBooks Online.
When posting new orders to Quickbooks, it's possible that certain orders may end up in the errors tab, as illustrated below:
How to check complete error for an order:
The error that appeared on the orders while posting them in QuickBooks can be seen on the far right of the transaction under the Details tab or by opening the order and clicking on the Details
This error pertains to orders with order dates preceding the ‘as of date’ of the corresponding items in the order.
1). Edit the item (that is in the order) in your Quickbooks Online.
2). Look for the item in QuickBooks online, click on Edit to the far right of the item and click on Starting Value under Quantity on hand.
3). Change the as-of date to the date before the order was placed.
4). Once the above steps are completed, try posting the order from Webgility Online which encountered this error.
