Update Webgility Desktop Using the “Check for Updates” Option

Webgility is updated regularly to support the evolving technologies it integrates with and to meet customer needs. These updates may introduce new features, enhance performance, fix bugs, and resolve known issues.
This guide walks you through the steps to manually check for and install the latest version of Webgility Desktop using the Check for Updates feature.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Open Webgility Desktop and click Login.
Once logged in, go to Help > Terms and Privacy to open the About Webgility window.

Here you can view the current version of Webgility Desktop installed on your computer.
Navigate to Help > Check for Updates.
In the Webgility Update window:

You’ll see your current version and the new version available (if any).

Click the Update button.

Ensure that the “Take Webgility database backup before proceeding with the update” checkbox is selected.
Choose the default location for saving the database backup when prompted.
Once the backup is complete, the Webgility Installer will launch and begin updating the application.

A progress window will show the installation status.
After the update finishes, the app will return to the Login screen. Click Login again.
Once logged in, the application will update the database automatically.
Select your sales channel and proceed to the Dashboard view.
To confirm the update:

Go to Help > Terms and Privacy again and verify the version number matches the latest version.

✅ You're done! Webgility Desktop is now successfully updated to the latest version.
