How Connect Webgility Online with QuickBooks Desktop
Follow these steps to get Webgility Online connected with QuickBooks Desktop
Install Webgility Extension - First-Time Connection
When you log in to Webgility Online for the very first time, you will have to make a successful connection to the online store.
After connecting with your online store, it will prompt you to select your accounting solution.
As seen above, upon selecting QuickBooks Desktop, it gives an option to Download Webgility Extension.
Open and extract the folder, double-click on WebgilityExtensionInstaller.exe to start the installation.
You may get a popup that prompts you to allow it to run. If you do, click Allow or Yes to begin the installation.
Click I accept the agreement, then Next.
Click Next again to install to the default location.
Click Next again and keep the default folder name.
Click Next again to create a desktop shortcut.
Finally, click Install to start the installation. This may take several minutes to complete.
Once completed, click Finish to launch the Webgility Extension.
Login to the Webgility Extension using your primary login credentials for Webgility Online.
Connection with QuickBooks Desktop (Selecting the company file location)
The next few steps will connect your QuickBooks Desktop Company file to the Webgility Extension. At this point, you should log in to QuickBooks as the Admin user.
Select the correct version of QuickBooks Desktop:
Webgility will need to retrieve the company file location. This can be done by clicking the F2 or Ctrl+1 options from the QuickBooks home screen. There will be a popup like the one shown below. You will need to highlight the company file location and copy it to your clipboard.
In the Webgility Extension configuration, paste the company file location in the field then click Connect to QuickBooks.
QuickBooks will show a prompt to approve the integration. You will need to select Yes always, even when QuickBooks is not running, and Allow this application to access personal data. Additionally, if you have multiple users in QuickBooks make sure that the Webgility Extension is using the Admin user. Then click Continue.
Click Done in the popup in QuickBooks.
The Webgility Extension should be successfully connected to QuickBooks. Click OK to dismiss the pop-up.
At last, Save and close the Webgility Extension configuration.
It will then minimize in the system tray and start uploading information to Webgility Online. You will need to continue configuring your settings there.
Add Accounting File Later
If you decide to add the accounting file at a later time, please follow the below steps:
Select Connect to QuickBooks Desktop. It will then prompt the download of the installation files for the Webgility Extension.

Once the file is downloaded, find it on your workstation. It will most likely be in your downloads folder, and right-click to Extract All.
The process would be the same as mentioned above for the installation and connection with QuickBooks.
Things to remember
Webgility extension can only be installed on one PC.
Webgility extension can only connect to one Quickbooks company file.
In the case of the RightNetworks hosting environment, the Webgility extension should only be installed under one user account.
