If you need to enter a large number of transactions for historic periods, it is common to temporarily turn off the closing of books in QuickBooks. This can then be re-enabled when historic periods have been fully posted and reconciled.
1. To post orders from a period of your books that you have already closed, simply login to QuickBooks. Navigate to your Account and Settings area under the gear icon at the top right of QuickBooks Online.
2. Within this screen, click on Advanced Settings.
3. Delete that close date and click Save, assuring that the Close Books feature is off.
4. Now you should be able to return to Webgility and post transactions from previous periods.
