Overview:

When encountering database errors while downloading or redownloading orders in your Webgility Desktop app, running the UnifyDBUpgrade tool can help optimize the database and resolve these issues.

Follow these steps to resolve/run the UnifyDBUpgrade tool -

Step-by-Step Database Upgrade Process:

Step 1: Close Webgility Software and Scheduler (if running) on any computers where Webgility is installed. Make sure to kill related processes via Task Manager.

Step 2: On the primary Webgility machine where the database is installed, go to location C:\Webgility\UnifyEnterprise and look for a file named “UnifyDBUpgrade”.

Step 3: Run the UnifyDBUpgrade file, it will ask you to Execute UnifyDBUpgrade, to proceed further. It will then ask you to close all the open instances of Webgility Software as well as Scheduler, click on OK, it will ask you to perform a backup, click on OK, and select a valid location for the backup to be saved, typically you would select the Webgility application folder.

Step 4:. Once the backup process is complete, you will be asked not to stop it or restart the computer once the optimization has started. Click on OK and wait for it to complete.

Step 5: Once you have received the success pop-up notification, you can close it and log back into Webgility.

Things to remember:

  • Ensure all Webgility processes are fully closed.

  • Run the upgrade only on the primary machine.

  • Wait for success confirmation before proceeding.

  • Login only after upgrade completion.
